My Rose of Sharon has been blooming, and I’ve been buying flowers at the farmers market and my husband bought me flowers for my birthday. So I got some still lifes…and then some pictures of fun life of summer.

    The single drooping flower in the vase, makes that shot… beautiful. I really like the wet footprint too. The lighting in the photo is wonderful.

      @Tara R.,

      LOL…that’s the reason I loved that shot too! The drooping flower was meant to be the focus.

      The footprint was just luck. It sparked off the whole idea to take my camera outside for pictures. I just loved the way the light bounced off the floor and reflected into the footprint.

    Wow. I love the colors in those flowers. The drooping flower shot is my favorite! I see mystery in the footprint shot…

    Beautiful photos! The bright flower textures are particularly awesome, and the kids in the pool – each great in their own way. Can’t help but grin at the last one – she is loving it! 😀

      @Lizzie,

      Thanks!! I love that last one too…she really was having a blast. It is so great to FINALLY have a child that isn’t terrified of getting her face wet 😀

      @Karen of 3G2S,

      Thanks!! Hubs knows that I love those bright flowers and it was a great birthday gift from him.

      The second I saw that footprint reflected on the ground I had to get it captured 😀

    Beautiful shots, but I REALLY love the flowers.

    The drooping flower makes that shot so visually interesting! And the DOF on the second shot is wonderful!
