Weekly Winners – Falling Back Edition

All taken w/ Canon Rebel XS.

Halloween, a new job, gorgeous sunrises and lack of time led to a hectic lead up to my Scavenger Hunt items!

1. Food
Sweets grown common lose their dear delight. ~William Shakespeare

2. Purple
A box of new crayons! Now they’re all pointy, lined up in order, bright and perfect. Soon they’ll be a bunch of ground down, rounded, indistinguishable stumps, missing their wrappers and smudged with other colors. Sometimes life seems unbearably tragic. ~Bill Watterson

*There is no purple anymore. The “purple” crayon is called violet. Why is there no purple anymore? Who needs fancy names in crayons?

Knitting is very conducive to thought. It is nice to knit a while, put down the needles, write a while, then take up the sock again. ~Dorothy Day

3. In Disguise
I call them Thing One and Thing Two. ~Dr. Seuss
[flickr id=”6316611851″ thumbnail=”medium” overlay=”true” size=”small” group=”” align=”center”]
Tell: I call them Thing 1 and Thing 2 as well.  Of course, Thing 1 is the older of the two.  They already had the t-shirts & I just knew this would make a quick & cheap costume idea. The girls had a blast.

Photography love...

Society is a masked ball, where every one hides his real character, and reveals it by hiding. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

4. Shapes
I am not going to die, I’m going home like a shooting star. ~Sojourner Truth

Lying in bed would be an altogether perfect and supreme experience if only one had a colored pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling. ~G.K. Chesterton

5. Photographers Choice
What a splendid thing watercolor is to express atmosphere and distance, so that the figure is surrounded by air and can breathe in it. ~Vincent van Ghogh

Rays from the sunrise drew forth the buds and stretched them into long stalks, lifted up sap in noiseless streams, opened petals, and sucked out scents in invisible jets and breathings. ~Thomas Hardy

A Simple Thing:
The first sunrise picture I took this week. It’s SOOC and makes me happy.

      @Tara R.,

Thanks so much! I walked outside the other day and sat down. Happened to see that reflection in my window and knew I had to try and capture it! I love it.
