Slowly fall creeps in.
Backpacks are full.
Teachers prepping their rooms.
Schedules in hand.
But still we linger.
The heat holds on tight.
The pools still beckon.
Despite kids’ best hopes
The days get shorter.
And school is set to start.
Pools will be closed.
Shorts and suits put away.
Books & Pencils rule again.
School begin on the 22nd here. I am ready for fall to finally get here. (Still love that footprint shot!)
