Weekly Winners – Holidays are Here Edition

Nov 26, 2011 | Photography, Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Simple Things, Weekly Winners

All taken w/ Canon Rebel XS.

Christmas on the square. A photo walk with the kid. Trying to find photos to fit all the hunt items is a little tough, and I fudged on a couple while I had extras for others. Here we are :D.

2. Foliage
The leaves of a pine wreath

There weren’t any leaves left on the trees, so I got this cool bark. It looks like camouflage.

    The bark on that tree is so cool! And I love your take on “fork” with fork in the road!

      @Katie,

      Thanks, Katie! The minute I saw that tree, my boy and I each took a bunch of pictures of it. All over the park we went to we kept seeing the camo bark after that. It’s really neat to see up close.

      @Kathy,

      Thanks Kathy! I love getting bokeh – it used to be such a challenge for me, I might overdo it a little now that I have a great lens for it LOL

      @kewkew,

      Thanks so much 🙂 I hadn’t managed to get any actual silverware and I just thought it would be a nice different take when I saw the fork in the trail.

    Great rules of thirds and that tree bark does look like camo.

      @Saun,

      I love the rule of thirds and the empty space rule. I had so many in my archives, but I made myself take more…of course in the first rule of thirds shot I also included the rule of 3’s (having things in an odd number of 3 or 5) with the ornaments 😉
