It’s been one of those weeks. But I’ve got pics from the night of the full moon that are creepy cool.  I also am including just a FEW of my favorites from my weekend away with the hubby.

I totally forgot I hadn’t posted my pics from the weekend getaway, so this is a lst minute grab of favorites. Like I said, it’s been one of those weeks. I’ll be posting more on my flicker account as the week goes on, I hope.

That’s all for this week. Head on over to Lotus‘ digs to see more!!

      @Tara R.,

      Thanks!! I was mad I didn’t get THE shot in my head, but then I appreciated the creepy beauty that I did manage to capture.

      @Sarah,

      Thanks so much!! I love trying to et the perfect shot of the moon. Ever since my frustration of not getting anything during the eclipse it’s been my goal to get the ‘perfect’ moon shot. I’ve only managed one – I keep trying for more!!

      @Rachel ~ A Southern Fairytale,

      Thanks, Rachel!! I was surprised to have so many pictures this week…I felt like I left my camera put away too much…then I remembered the weekend getaway and suddenly picking pictures was a lot tougher 😀

      @Jeanette,

      *blush* Coming from you, that’s a high compliment!! Thanks so much!! My husband chastised me when I was complaining about not getting “THE” shot I wanted…and reminded me to appreciate the pictures I did get…and boy was he right. I ended up loving most of these 😀

      @jen,

      Thanks so much 😀 I tried to experiment a bit, and w/ the dim lighting in most situations, having to hold the camera still added even more challenge. Needless to say, I’m pretty happy with my results 😀

    Haha. I love what you said about sun flare. You are right! So much sun flare out there but you gave the Moon some sweet props!

      @stacey@Havoc&Mayhem,

      Thanks, Stacey. I love taking moon photos…I’m trying to fine tune my technique. Proper technique failed me this time (hence why I’m getting a book on my camera’s functions…in an attempt to be better)…but it also didn’t fail me at the same time. I may not have gotten the shot I was looking for, but I got the shots I liked.

      @Rebecca (Ramblings by Reba),

      Thanks, Rebecca. I thought about cloning out the sign, but then I couldn’t get the lines of shadow on the ground to look right. I had another shot with the sign less noticable but I didn’t like the look of it as much as this shot…so this is the one I kept 🙂

      @Denise,

      Thank you so much, Denise 🙂 I’ve really been trying to improve my skillz…while hubby is always appreciative, I’m always hard on myself. It’s nice when I get a group that I do like…like these 😀

    I love these pics! The moon is awesome. Ugh, it’s always a sign or people right where I don’t want them in a shot. Still, I think it’s a great shot.

      @Maggie,

      It’s always something!! I tried to get pictures of a fountain…and I did, but because the sun was behind us they aren’t as clear as I wanted them. Our efforts to get to the other side of the canal for better pictures were thwarted by a wedding party having their pictures done and blocking the path across. *sigh* It really is always something 😀

      Thanks, though! I’m pretty happy with it, in the end. I decided to love it w/ it’s flaws then to try and fix it. It’s a good theme for life 😉
