Trick & Treating
*No idea why I adore this picture & how all that’s in focus is Angel’s hat…but I do adore it.

I got my book on my camera this week. I’m looking forward to keeping reading and experimenting as I do. Hopefully even more as weeks go on!

    Some of our favorites shots are always the ones that are a little out of focus. It represents REAL life, I think!

    The sunrise (sunset?) and Light Play are my favorites. Light Play ranks up there because it’s something I’d try to photograph — and I know how hard it is to get that sort of thing to come out well. 🙂

      @Rebecca (Ramblings by Reba),

      It was a sunset, Rebecca! I went out to get away for a little while one night and happened to remember to take my camera with me. When I pulled into the parking lot of my destination I saw these colors and bam…through the windshield even it came out like this. I was so happy.

      I love seeing things like that just randomly. I wasn’t sure it would photograph well…but it came out better than I’d hoped!!

      @Mrs4444,

      Thanks! I had another one but nothing in it was in focus, the little bugger moved too fast…but it was still a cool shot.

    I really like the first shot BECAUSE the only thing is full focus is Angel’s hat.

    The icing shot was too much. Now, I want cupcakes.

      @Tara R.,

      *G* That’s why I like it too! I pulled up the picture and it just sang to me. It’s like something I would have done in editing…but it was already done!!

      *G* That icing is actually from the process of making Cake Pops (part of my Christmas cookie/treat pre-baking/making). Yummmmm….

    The first shot is soo amazing. The movement and action of the moment in contrast with her in focus hat is spectacular.
    The colors in the sunset.. WOAH.

    YUM — frosting

      @Rachel ~ A Southern Fairytale,

      Thanks!! There was just something about that picture…and I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that loves the effect!!

      I couldn’t believe the colors on the sunset…or that they actually came out in the picture!!

      *G* Making the centers for cake-pops with that frost = DOUBLE yum.

    That sky is INCREDIBLE!

    And I’m with you… adore that the hat is the only thing in focus. SO cool

      @Denise,

      Thanks. I can’t take full credit for the sky, Mother Nature had a bit to do with it…;)

      Glad you like the hat picture too. It’s always fun to find a ‘mistake’ that turns into a total treasure!!

    I love that first one, too, where the hat is in focus with the rest not. It just has a really artistic and fun feel. Also loving that squirrel!

      @Maggie,

      I think that same exact squirrel was just on my back porch being a total smart-alec by sitting on top of the traps we’d set out (for a raccoon, not for the squirrels) last week and now are just resting on our back porch.

      Glad you like the hat shot!!!
