During this past week I took the kids out for a some photo-shooting. It’s been about 2 years since our last one and with the exception of the “too good for photos” teen issues and one little girl getting hit in the face w/ our truck hatch…I think we met with pretty good success. These are some of my absolute favorites.

I failed to use my camera this week…so I thought I’d go back and find my favorites so far for 2011. Trying to keep the list small is my biggest challenge ;).
The courage to imagine otherwise is our greatest resource, adding color and suspense to all our life. ~Daniel J. Boorstin
Man finds nothing so intolerable as to be in a state of complete rest, without passions, without occupation, without diversion, without effort. Then he feels his nullity, loneliness, inadequacy, dependence, helplessness, emptiness. ~Blaise Pascal
We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
One day You will take my heart completely and make it more fiery than a dragon. Your eyelashes will write on my heart the poem that could never come from the pen of a poet. ~Jalal ad-Din Rumi

The weather this week has been gorgeous so I’ve been outdoors most of it. Unfortunately many of my pictures did not come out. Still struggling to get used to my new camera and lens. However, I did manage to get a few I was happy with.
Look at you, madman! Screaming you are thirsty and dying in a desert, when all around you there is nothing but water. ~Kabir
“O Tiger-lily,” said Alice, addressing herself to one that was waving gracefully about in the wind, “I wish you could talk!”
“We can talk,” said the Tiger-lily. “When there’s anybody worth talking to.” ~Lewis Carroll

If we had a keen vision of all that is ordinary in human life, it would be like hearing the grass grow or the squirrel’s heart beat, and we should die of that roar which is the other side of silence. ~George Eliot
When I am happy, a sparrow’s chirp is delicious to me. But it is not the chirp that makes me happy, but I that make it sweet. ~John Ruskin

Our neighbor asked us to store another car for a few days, one that he’s going to be painting. As long as this gorgeous car is hanging around, I figured I should get some pictures. It’s a ’67 Camaro. One car I would kill to have.

So ready for it to feel more like summer than spring. Much rain and horrendous storms this week. Hail, tornadoes, all sorts of craziness. Oh, and we had a long day at the hospital thrown in there for good measure.
Have I mentioned? OY.
