I took the kids out today in an attempt to do a photo shoot of the kids for my family. I am fairly pleased with the results except that I only got one really decent shot of the three of them together. But, at least I got the ONE, which is great! This is only a small sampling of some of the great shots I got!! There’s a whole section of the kids wading into the creek, getting their clothes soaked…I’m definitely happy with my first official intentional photo shoot!!

Pictures from the week of 7/12/09-7/18/09
This week was busy with cleaning (I’m sparing you those pictures for now), a rebirth of my jewelry making, and ended on a very high note with my brithday!

And last, but not least, my birthday! Archie took me to The Melting Pot. It was wonderful and amazing and he didn’t balk at me taking in my camera. I’d say about 90% of these are straight out of the camera…it was delicious and we had a ton of fun!!! Oh, and the picture of the back of my head was to show off the hair it took me an hour and a half to style 😀 And no, it’s not time to cut it yet.

All of these pictures were taken on 6/19/09. Indiana had a severe storm and I hunkered down with my camera and took quite a few. I used my Canon Rebel XTi. Some of them seem blurry because the wind was so strong it was impossible to stay perfectly still – and with it being so dark, the shutter speed was slow.
All of these pictures were taken at 9ish, so it was dark…all of the light comes from the lightning that was constantly flashing!!

I had a photo shoot with the girls, got some new pictures of the dog, and finally figured out how to take a good moon shot. A couple other random pictures thrown in…

This week Sookie is home…and I created a recipe…and READ the latest installment of my fav YA vamp series…
1. Homemade-self-created yumminess (Chocolate Orange pufflettes – recipe coming this week)
2. Hunted – The latest in the House of Night Series. Just released Tuesday. Devoured in 3 hours and made me realize Twilight – SUCKED. There is no kind-of like…I was desperate for vamps. It cannot compete.Â
3. A timeout that went way too long….she actually fell asleep.

Okay, maybe I shouldn’t call it Aww Sookie because the name isn’t official yet…but who cares…It’s the front runner 😀
Today we went to the Humane Society to see about our dog. We had the choice of two beautiful little girls. The series of pictures are:
1. (left) Ethel Mae and Nellie sitting on my lap.
2. (middle) Ethel Mae and Nellie giving me wonderful puppy kisses (and bites)
3. (right) My angel baby puppy – the former Nellie – and future puppy of our home (quite possibly named Sookie)…isn’t she BEAUTIFUL?!?!?!?!

We’ll pick her up to bring her home next weekend. They won’t let her go until she’s had her girly parts removed. She was just sweet and loving and curled on my lap most of the time. She gave kisses and suckled on my finger and played a little bit. Her sister was a bit more rambunctious 😀
